Summer Corn

Corn on the cob is one of my favorite things about summer, but let’s face it making it is a pain in the butt whether your grill it (it never come out the same) or boil it (the water takes forever to boil).

If you use one of these methods have I got good news for you. This microwave method is the easiest way to make corn on the cob and it comes out perfect every time, it’s fast, there is no mess and it’s super easy to do.

All you need is an ear of corn, a microwave, an oven mitt/pot holder, a knife and corn holders/skewers.

Recipe

  • Place 1 ear of corn in microwave (DO NOT shuck corn leave corn whole corn husks and all)
  • Set microwave to 3 or 4 minutes (it takes 3 minutes to cook in mine)
  • After microwave timer goes off, take out corn (MAKE SURE YOU USE AN OVEN MITT IT’S SUPER HOT)
  • Cut the end off of the ear of corn – insert corn holder to end of corn.
  • Hold corn by corn holder in one hand and wrap your other hand around the corn on the cob and pull (WHILE WEARING THE OVEN MITT) corn husks and all, it comes off in one piece no mess no fuss.
  • Insert the other corn holder in tip of the corn, roll in butter sprinkle with salt & pepper

Enjoy
